Pellicce Canali was founded in 1963 by a Commander and Knight of Labour Giovanni Battista Canali, an entrepreneur from Leffe, a town in the province of Bergamo, and one of the most industrialized areas in Italy. Canali opened his first fur store in Milan, in Corso Buenos Aires, which is one of the most commercial streets of the city. He asked his young children to join the family business. Soon they gained passion for the fur industry by participating, together with their father, at the most important international fur auctions which take place all over the world, importing the fur skins directly to Italy, and monitoring every single step of the production: from the skin tanning to their selection, from the choice of fur designs to their realization. Each finished fur has a certificate of proof attesting that the garment has been produced entirely in Italy. The company experienced such a great growth rate that in the 80s and 90s it transformed into the largest Italian fur shop network, with its shops located in every region of the country. In the past 20 years as the company has always been attentive to market changes, it has specialized in the production of exclusive furs, such as furs made of Barguzinsky sable in its natural colour and in Silvery, and Platinum quality mink, both of which can be found at the boutique Pellicce Canali in the heart of Milan. Today our main clients are tourists coming from all over the world, and in particular from the former Soviet Union. We guarantee to our clients the best product quality: each fur is certified and carries a label of origin which is regulated by and distributed only to the most important trademarks and breeding farms in the fur production industry.
